On January 29th, 2019, the ‘Oireachtais Joint Committee on Education and Skills’ published its report on Relationships and Sexuality Education in Ireland. This report, along with another report on the same topic which is due out later this year from the NCCA (National Council for Curriculum and Assessment), represents a part of the government strategy to fully take over the Catholic schools of Ireland and to suppress Catholic teaching on human sexuality in all schools in Ireland. A totalitarian view of human sexuality has been recommended to be imposed on all children who attend schools funded by the Irish state, regardless of their parent’s wishes, and regardless of the denomination or ethos of the school.
In 1917, Our Lady warned the seers of Fatima that if Russia were not converted to her Immaculate Heart, “she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions against the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.”
In his book “The Naked Communist”, former FBI agent W. Cleon Skousen writes of the goals of communism. One of those goals is to ” Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.” This goal is being furthered by the Irish government and fostered by the RSE report of this committee.
One of the shocking things about this report is that nobody seems to find it shocking. This report promotes teaching about contraception, abortion and sexual consent to school children. It promotes abortion for intellectually disabled women who may become pregnant. It seeks to enter into the private lives of school going children and to corrupt their innocence. It seeks to do this in a compulsory way and it seeks to bypass the ‘ethos’ of the schools.
When one reads reports like these, one becomes familiar with the tactics involved. The conclusions of the report are made before the report is produced, and the report contains pre-conceived assumptions, vague generalisations and very few, if any, definitions. For example, the term ‘sexual health’ is not defined. In the opening foreword, the committee chairman, who supports the killing of certain innocent human beings in their mother’s wombs, says “We should teach people ‘respectful sexual behaviours’”. But there is no definition of what constitutes respectful sexual behaviours. Without such a definition, this phrase is a meaningless generality which allows the authors of the report to propose immoral behaviours and actions by claiming that they help people to teach people undefined ‘respectful sexual behaviours’.
The foreword also states “The Committee wants improvements made to the curriculum to give our young people the skills they need, particularly in the areas of consent and contraception.”
School children should not be consenting to sexual behaviour nor should they be using contraception. Why does the committee who produces this report, not one of whom voted against killing innocent unborn human beings, make these assumptions. They also state that the the RSE curriculum must “reflect today’s society”. Why should the curriculum reflect the degenerate society in which we now live? Surely any curriculum presented in Irish schools should be built on the basis of moral truths, and not on the basis of “today’s society”, whatever that phrase is supposed to mean.
Here is another mind blowing statement of the report that shows up the woeful ignorance of these people.
“The Committee was told that the RSE programme constructs heterosexual intercourse as the primary definition of sex and is not inclusive of the experiences and sexual practices of those identifying as LGBTQI+.”
Any proper scientific study of the human being will clearly show that human sexuality and the very survival of the human race is based on heterosexual intercourse. It is quite obvious, even to the layman, what the various different parts of the body are for! Those who engage in homosexual practices are engaged in disordered activity because they are using certain parts of the body for purposes contrary to what they are ordered to by their very nature. In some cases these disordered practices are dangerous to the health of the practitioner, but the Education committee does not want children alerted to these dangers, they simply want to present these disordered actions as normal.
I found the section concerning those with intellectual disabilities to be the most egregious part of this report. It shows a complete lack of respect for the humanity of these people in seeking to impose an immoral sexual ideology on them. In discussing sexual activity among those with intellectual disability the report notes that “women and girls with disabilities have limited access to abortion as it currently stands.”
Their response? People with intellectual disabilities should have a separate curriculum “that is accessible and appropriate, and deals with sexuality and contraception”. If the recommendations of this report on people with intellectual disabilities are put into practice, I predict that it will lead to an increase in the sexual abuse of people so disabled, which abuse will be fostered by teaching these people about contraception and by killing any children that are conceived as a result of encouraging them to engage in sexual activity.
Catholic parents need to wake up to the reality of what is being proposed for our Catholic schools and they need to take action to protect the children God has given them.
